Band History

We are based out of the Longview, TX area www.AlanFoxBand.com

The Alan Fox Band, originally formed in 2000 by front man Alan Fox, has built up their reputation and their repertoire to become one of the most noteworthy blues/arena rock bands in East Texas. On the strength of a highly active tour schedule and their most recent album, 2008's full length JuJu Ear Rub, TAFB have been steadily building their profile. The dual guitar onslaught provided by Alan Fox and Donnie Pendleton drives their distinctive Texas blues sound, while drummer Moe Eldridge and bassist Greg Cagle sit in the pocket, propelling the tunes along. The band's reverence for their heroes - Thin Lizzy, the Allman Brothers, and Ted Nugent is obvious from their skill at incorporating those classic sounds into their own unique sound. The Alan Fox Band are a dedicated, talented group of musicians playing out as often as they can, building their fan base one show at a time. Written by Jon Ozaksut of zZounds.com Feb. 17, 2010

You must know, in 2008,after the release of "JuJu Ear Rub" the Alan Fox Band was nominated for the prestigious, Texas Guitarist Hall of Fame, for unsurpassed excellence in Guitar work, joining a stellar cast of Texas musicians.

"The Best Of The Best In Texas" This hard hitting rock band from the northeast edge of Texas was voted in 2005 as a first year national finalist at the Sonny Boy Blues Challenge, earning their right to perform at the World acclaimed, King Biscuit Blues Festival. Alan takes hold of this musical project with his crew of top-notch musicians, showing his smooth guitar work and soulful vocals. He proves time and again that he can deliver a song from his soul. From the non-traditional sounds of Jimi's acid-rock, to the traditional sounds of Muddy Waters, Alan and his awesome band will cook up, and dish out the music that will satisfy the most limitless musical appetite.
