Texas acts will once again dominate at the Great Texas Balloon Race as race organizers signed Kevin Fowler and Eli Young Band for the 2010 festival.

Texas powerhouse, Kevin Fowler, will perform Friday night, July, 30th. Kevin helped the festival break attendance records in 2008 so the return of his brand of 100% Texas Country music is much anticipated. Kevin’s down home humor and heartfelt sentiments resonate with fans all over and make him a favorite in the Texas music scene.

Keeping with the Texas theme, the Eli Young Band will perform Saturday night, July 31st. This band started ten years ago when all four members met while students at University of North Texas. After eight years of independent recording and building a strong fan base all over the state, they signed with Universal Records South and released “When It Rains”. That song ultimately became the longest running single in the history of the Billboard Hot Country Chart. That momentum helped the band to launch their national debut CD, Jet Black & Jealous, in September of 2008, landing the band in the Top 5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart.

“We’ve had great success featuring strong Texas country music acts at the Great Texas Balloon Race,” says Brant Wright, the Entertainment Chair of the Race. “It’s what East Texas likes and these acts will certainly fill the bill.”
