Crack Cocaine Seized at Hotel by CODE

Roger Taylor, Courtney Taylor and Cheryl Lackey were all booked into the Gregg County Jail. The subject that ran when SWAT approached is still at-large.

On March 2, 2010 at around 1:00 p.m., the Longview Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team assisted the Gregg County Organized Drug Enforcement (CODE) Unit by serving narcotics search warrants at two different rooms at the American Dream Inn at 2015 East Marshall Avenue. As the SWAT Team approached, an unidentified male subject standing outside the hotel threw down a pill bottle containing crack cocaine and fled the area on foot. The SWAT Team made entry into rooms 14 and 38 without incident and CODE Investigators discovered crack cocaine in both rooms. Three people were arrested, to include a father and son:

Cheryl Jean Lackey, date of birth 1-09-1975 of 2827 Darwin in Kilgore, was arrested for an outstanding Gregg County warrant.
